12C Traffic Management Operatives Required Milton Keynes | Day Shifts | Ongoing Agency Opportunities Are you an experienced LANTRA 12C Traffic Management Operative looking for regular day work in the Milton Keynes area? We are currently recruiting 12C Traffic Management Operatives to join our growing agency workforce, supporting a range of highway maintenance, infrastructure and specialist traffic management projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with competitive rates, weekly pay and consistent daytime shifts.
The Role
As a 12C Traffic Management Operative, you will be responsible for supporting Mobile Lane Closures (MLC) on motorways and high-speed dual carriageways. Working as part of a professional convoy team, you will help create and maintain safe moving work zones for highway maintenance and infrastructure projects, ensuring the safety of both road users and the workforce.
Typical Duties Will Include:
- Driving Advance Warning Vehicles (AWVs)
- Acting as an advance sign-carrying vehicle driver to warn motorists of moving work zones ahead
- Conducting daily pre-work inspections of Traffic Management vehicles, trailers, flashing arrow boards and electronic signage
- Implementing, maintaining and removing Mobile Lane Closures (MLCs)
- Working as part of a coordinated convoy carrying out progressive lane closure manoeuvres
- Maintaining constant radio communication with Supervisors, IPV Drivers and convoy vehicles
- Following Chapter 8 requirements, RAMS and Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Identifying and reporting hazards, breakdowns and incidents on the live carriageway
- Supporting motorway and high-speed road maintenance operations
- Completing vehicle, equipment and site safety checks
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and compliance

Essential Requirements
- Valid LANTRA 12C Qualification
- Previous Mobile Lane Closure Experience Preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good Understanding of Health & Safety Requirements
- Ability to Work Effectively as Part of a Team
- Reliable and Professional Attitude
