We are recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants / Mental Health Support Workers to support an adult living in a supported living setting in Shrewsbury / Telford. This role involves supporting an individual with complex mental health needs, helping them live safely and independently within their home environment. If you are passionate about mental health care, person-centred support, and making a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and emotional support
- Support individuals with mental health needs and behaviours that challenge
- Assist with daily living tasks and routines
- Encourage independence and wellbeing
- Promote community engagement and positive activities
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff
- Maintain clear and accurate care documentation
Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
- Experience in supported living, complex care, or residential care
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient and reliable approach
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting complex mental health or brain injury
- Training in PMVA / MAPA / CPI / de-escalation
