We are looking for an experienced and confident Paediatric Complex Care Support Worker to provide high-quality, specialist care for children and young people with life-limiting or complex medical conditions in their homes or community settings across London.
You will play a vital role in supporting children with tracheostomy, ventilation, suctioning, and PEG/JEJ feeding, ensuring both clinical safety and emotional well-being in a child-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver one-on-one care to children with complex medical needs in a home or community setting.
- Perform daily clinical tasks including:
- Tracheostomy care & management
- Airway suctioning (oral, nasal, or tracheal)
- Ventilator support (invasive or non‑invasive)
- PEG/JEJ tube feeding and medication administration
- Oxygen therapy and nebulisation
- Respiratory effort
- Oxygen saturations
- Seizure activity
- PEG tolerance and feeding records
- Essential: Minimum 6 months experience in complex care or paediatrics.
- Proven hands‑on experience with:
- Tracheostomy care
- Suctioning techniques
- PEG feeding
- Ventilator support
- Desirable: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Children or Clinical Pathway)
- Paediatric First Aid Certification
- Ventilator and tracheostomy competency sign‑off
- Experience working with children with neurological conditions, epilepsy, or life‑limiting illnesses.
