We are looking for a male Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a young adult male with a spinal injury in Hitchin. This is a live-in role on a 2-week-on / 2-week-off rota, ideal for someone with a bubbly, positive personality who enjoys building a good rapport. Male applicants only due to personal care requirements (Equality Act 2010).
Duties:
- 1:1 spinal injury support
- Personal care (including bowel & bladder care)
- Transfers, mobility & specialist equipment
- Meal preparation & daily living tasks
- Supporting social activities & independence
About You:
- Male carer/support worker
- Friendly, reliable & confident
- Experience in complex or spinal injury care preferred (training provided)
- Able to work independently
