We are looking for a male Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a young adult male with a spinal injury in Hitchin. This is a live-in role on a 2-week-on / 2-week-off rota, ideal for someone with a bubbly, positive personality who enjoys building a good rapport. Male applicants only due to personal care requirements (Equality Act 2010).

Duties:

  • 1:1 spinal injury support
  • Personal care (including bowel & bladder care)
  • Transfers, mobility & specialist equipment
  • Meal preparation & daily living tasks
  • Supporting social activities & independence

About You:

  • Male carer/support worker
  • Friendly, reliable & confident
  • Experience in complex or spinal injury care preferred (training provided)
  • Able to work independently
