We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team, to provide essential care and support to children and adults in the comfort of their home environment.

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Complex Carers to join a dedicated 2:1 care team supporting a young gentleman with highly complex medical needs living at home with his family in Farnham. The client has severe cerebral palsy, epilepsy, tracheostomy, severe reflux, and requires JEJ feeding and PEG venting. He is non-verbal but fully understands communication and values carers who are calm, patient, respectful, and person-centred in their approach. This is a rewarding opportunity to support an intelligent and sociable individual who enjoys music, theatre, sports, sensory activities, swimming, arts and crafts, holidays, and spending time outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred complex care within the home environment
  • Deliver cuff tracheostomy care including suctioning and airway monitoring
  • Administer JEJ feeds, medications, and water flushes safely
  • Support PEG venting and monitor reflux, secretions, constipation, and seizures
  • Assist with personal care, repositioning, bathing, oral care, and skin integrity checks
  • Use hoists and specialist equipment safely
  • Maintain accurate records and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support communication, emotional wellbeing, dignity, and community access
  • Remain vigilant to prevent tube dislodgement, falls, airway compromise, and injury

Requirements

  • Essential: Experience in complex care, community care, ICU, rehabilitation, or similar settings
  • Cuff tracheostomy and suctioning experience
  • Knowledge of epilepsy management and enteral feeding
  • Strong observation and communication skills
  • Calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
