Coyle Homecare is seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team supporting children with complex healthcare needs across North London. The nurse will provide high-quality, clinical care in the community, oversee assigned cases, and manage administrative responsibilities to ensure continuity of care. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 15 packages at a time, ensuring care plans are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with Coyle Homecare policies and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care (Community Visits – 3 days/week): Deliver expert paediatric nursing care to children with complex health needs in their homes. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in line with individual care plans. Administer medications, enteral/gastrostomy feeds, and manage medical equipment as required. Monitor patient health, respond to changes, and escalate concerns appropriately. Provide training and guidance to families and carers on healthcare needs. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Administrative/Office Work (2 days/week): Manage and review assigned caseload (approx. 15 packages). Update care plans, risk assessments, and patient records. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and Coyle Homecare team members. Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvements.
- General: Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and clinical governance standards. Work in line with Coyle Homecare policies and professional regulatory standards.
Essential Criteria
- Registered Paediatric Nurse (NMC registration).
- Proven experience in paediatric community nursing or complex care.
- Excellent organisational and caseload management skills.
- Strong communication skills with families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently in the community and manage administrative responsibilities.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with children with complex medical needs, including enteral feeding, respiratory support, and learning disabilities.
- Experience managing multiple care packages or caseloads.
- Familiarity with community-based paediatric services.
