Role Overview
Provide 1:1 complex paediatric care to children in their own homes. This role is for experienced carers only and requires confidence in delivering complex clinical care independently.
Key Duties
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to children with complex needs
- Tracheostomy care, including emergency management
- Airway suctioning
- PEG / gastrostomy feeding and medication administration
- Oxygen therapy and monitoring
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and clinical guidance
- Monitor, record, and report changes in the child’s condition
- Work professionally within the family home
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with children
- Proven experience in paediatric complex care
- Confident with tracheostomy, suctioning, PEG, and oxygen
- Able to work independently without clinical supervision
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional
Safeguarding Enhanced DBS required. Strong safeguarding awareness essential.
