Role Overview

Provide 1:1 complex paediatric care to children in their own homes. This role is for experienced carers only and requires confidence in delivering complex clinical care independently.

Key Duties

  • Deliver safe, high-quality care to children with complex needs
  • Tracheostomy care, including emergency management
  • Airway suctioning
  • PEG / gastrostomy feeding and medication administration
  • Oxygen therapy and monitoring
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments, and clinical guidance
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in the child’s condition
  • Work professionally within the family home

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Proven experience in paediatric complex care
  • Confident with tracheostomy, suctioning, PEG, and oxygen
  • Able to work independently without clinical supervision
  • Reliable, compassionate, and professional

Safeguarding Enhanced DBS required. Strong safeguarding awareness essential.
