SCL Site Engineer responsibilities include:
- Setting out on site: Provide setting out and final check with Total Station and Amber system for 2nd lining work and SCL excavation work (controlling the excavation profile and shotcrete spray profile).
- Project Planning & Coordination: Ensure that subcontractors are provided with the necessary information and materials to carry out their work on time. Liaise between the subcontractors.
- Supervision & Management: Supervise the day-to-day activities of subcontractors and direct labour to ensure compliance with the project schedule, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Monitor and report on the progress of work being executed by subcontractors, addressing any delays or issues in real time.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Inspect the quality of work performed by subcontractors and ensure that materials are of the required standard and are being used properly. Ensure that all work done by subcontractors or direct labour is in accordance with the contract specifications. Coordinate the testing and inspection with Quality Team and Client and Designer according to approved ITP to completed work and materials to ensure they meet required quality. Carry out shotcrete related tests to facilitate the excavation cycle. Install maturity sensor for 2nd lining.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Management: Ensure all subcontractor activities are in compliance with the company’s health and safety policies and relevant legal requirements. Conduct periodic safety audits and risk assessments of the worksite and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Deliver safety briefing to team according to approved RAMS, TBS, etc. Provide induction training session for newcomers or visitors.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of daily work performed by subcontractors, including materials used, hours worked, and any issues encountered. Report any issues, delays, or concerns regarding SCL work to higher management. Prepare safety-related documents; provide or update RAMS, TBS, related permits, etc.
