At Coyles, we are currently recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham, who are looking for an experienced and dependable School Caretaker to join their site team immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in caretaking, facilities, or general maintenance to contribute to a safe, clean, and well-functioning school environment.
About the Role:
As the School Caretaker, you will be responsible for:
- General site maintenance and repairs
- Opening and securing the premises
- Liaising with contractors and school staff
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety across the site
- Supporting with furniture moves, deliveries, and minor plumbing or electrical work
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or similar hands-on role
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence is highly desirable (but not essential)
- An Enhanced DBS is required for this role
- If you do not currently have one on the Update Service, you will need to apply for a new DBS.
- We can assist in processing a new DBS for successful candidates who do not already hold one.
