We are currently looking for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to carry out building maintenance and remedial works within an education setting in North London. As a Mobile Maintenance Electrician, you’ll ensure all electrical systems within schools operate safely and efficiently. From carrying out preventative maintenance to responding to day-to-day issues, you’ll play a key part in creating a safe and comfortable environment for young adults and children.

  • Conducting electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a small number of schools.
  • Performing fault-finding, testing, and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Maintaining lighting, power, emergency lighting, and small power systems.
  • Ensuring all work meets electrical regulations and company safety standards.
  • Supporting wider building services such as access control, fire alarms, and HVAC (with specialist support as needed).
  • Assisting with general facilities tasks and responding to helpdesk requests.
  • Liaising with external contractors during electrical-related projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) - essential
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - essential
  • DBS check (enhanced preferred, standard allowed to begin working as you will be working with others to start with)
  • Experience working in commercial or office environments or education setting.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities and a commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) is desirable but not essential.

This role is a temporary position with the chance to turn permanent for the right person. Own transport or the ability to commute to Islington for an 8am start is essential.
