Due to a recent contract win, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to work in North London. Our customer is a known M&E building contractor with contracts nationally. They have a large number of sites starting in Central London over this next year. Due to increased workload and start date brought forward, we require a Mechanical Supervisor to manage plumbers and mechanical engineering staff on a new build apartment block in North West London.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all plumbing installations across new build apartment blocks
- Manage and coordinate plumbers and subcontractors on site
- Ensure works are completed to drawings, specifications, and building regulations
- Liaise with project managers, site managers, and other trades
- Plan labour and materials to meet programme deadlines
- Carry out quality checks and snagging
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed on site
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Supervisor on new build residential projects in the UK
- Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing systems in apartment blocks
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- CSCS card (Supervisor or Gold preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organised, reliable, and able to work to tight deadlines
The initial contract is 18 months starting beginning to mid February, with an abundance of contracts available in and around London after. This is a permanent position with good benefits within an established company; this company look after their staff, and the average person stays with them for years—some have been there 30+ years.
Ideally we're looking for permanent staff, but contract / self employed staff will also be considered.
