Our client is looking for an experienced contracts manager to join an established construction firm based in Guilford, handling contracts UK wide. You will need vast experience with fit-out projects in the leisure sector, specifically pubs and bars.
The right candidate MUST have extensive retail experience with running multiple projects in line with the contracts and health and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Qualified as a Contracts Manager; field experience not as important
- Contract awareness and ability to ensure adherence
- Manage and maintain our health and safety and all documentation
- Hold and minute regular internal progress and quality meetings
- Hold and minute regular subcontractor progress and quality meetings
- Ensure adherence to all project specifications and drawings
- Ensure all team members have materials ordered and deliveries planned
- Build and maintain good relationships with team, clients, and subcontractors
- Develop plans to maintain programme and gain betterment where possible
- All general contracts manager duties
- Report regularly to our senior staff
- Willing to work on site and within our office in Wilmslow
Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Experience in team management and leadership, including managing cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of product development lifecycle and ability to drive product development projects
- Ability to effectively manage project budgets and control costs
- Experience in requirements gathering and documentation
This role is to start ASAP to enable a full understanding of the scope of works before being given contracts. Salary offered is £60,000 - £70,000 per year.
