We're looking for a Construction Package Manager (BMS/PMS) for a big project based in Belgium (Charleroi). We're open to any candidates who are willing to relocate permanently from the UK or EU.

Previous experience:

  • Typically strong with fibre and copper and hardware/software installation.
  • Experience with OFCI/LLE equipment would be desirable (Owner furnished Client Installed/Long Lead Equipment).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Project Manager to support overall schedule management and ensure seamless integration of Building Monitoring Systems (BMS) and Power Management Systems (PMS) within the broader construction program.
  • Act as a visible safety leader onsite, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and participating in regular safety audits.
  • Lead the BMS/PMS construction package, ensuring timely delivery, integration, and commissioning of all related systems.
  • Coordinate with key project stakeholders, including MEP teams, automation specialists, commissioning engineers, and external contractors.
  • Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of all BMS and PMS components, ensuring compliance with design specifications and client expectations.
  • Work closely with QA, Commissioning, and EHS teams to maintain high standards of project execution and compliance.
  • Manage and track costs associated with the package, including labour, materials, subcontractors, and variations.
  • Monitor on-site progress, ensuring any issues related to quality, safety, or design deviations are swiftly addressed.
  • Lead meetings with subcontractors and vendors, tracking progress and resolving any technical challenges that arise.
  • Drive the handover process, ensuring all system documentation, testing, and commissioning reports are completed for final acceptance.

What we're looking for in our candidates:

  • Experienced Construction Manager with a background in large-scale, complex projects, particularly in data centres, industrial, or high-tech buildings.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of BMS, PMS, and critical infrastructure systems within a construction environment.
  • Experience managing specialist subcontractors and technology vendors in the BMS/PMS domain.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successfully delivering technical packages.
  • Strong working knowledge of the full design and construction process, from procurement through to commissioning and handover.
  • Proficient in construction scheduling tools, cost tracking, and quality management processes.
  • Able to mobilize people and teams, driving successful project execution and delivery.
