Are you passionate about property inspections and asset management? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Operational Property Inspection team!

As part of our team, you will assist our surveyors in conducting annual property inspections, focusing on stations, depots, and lineside buildings. Your role is crucial in reporting the condition of these assets, enabling our Principal Route Engineer to develop robust asset management strategies and maintenance plans aligned with safety priorities and budget allocations.

Covering the North of the route from Crewe to Carlisle, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity and safety of our infrastructure.

Essential requirements for this role include:

  • Sentinel card (PTS AC/DC)
  • A Surveying degree or equivalent industry-recognized training qualification.
  • Membership of a relevant engineering professional institution.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Possession of a Full Driving Licence.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of rail engineering.
  • Successful experience in the principal discipline and understanding of related disciplines.
  • Working at Heights
