We are currently looking for a Shift Manager for a critical data centre environment in Slough. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for managing a shift team, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, driving safety compliance, and ensuring maximum uptime across a business-critical environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and coordinating shift engineering teams
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Acting as an HV Authorised Person
- Overseeing Permit to Work, RAMS, and safe systems of work
- Responding to critical incidents and system faults
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance
- Supporting engineer development, training, and performance
- Maintaining statutory compliance and service excellence
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a Data Centre, Critical Environment, or Mission-Critical Facility
- HV Authorisation essential
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
- Current Wiring Regulations qualification
- Strong knowledge of BMS, PMS, Fire & Critical Building Systems
- Experience leading teams in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- PASMA, IPAF and First Aid qualifications desirable
