Essential Requirements:
- No prior teaching experience is required for this role, only a specialist subject that you wish to teach.
- You must possess the right to work in the UK and be over the age of 18.
- Being a confident individual who has excellent communication skills is always beneficial.
Working hours and benefits:
The working hours of an instructor are extremely flexible and can occur anytime within the hours of a regular school day (8.30am – 3.15pm). All of our schools operate Monday to Friday and are closed during the school holidays and half-terms meaning you’ll have plenty of time outside of working hours for other commitments. You’ll also benefit from time off over Christmas, Easter, and the summer holidays where you will receive holiday pay.
Flexibility:
When working with Coyle Education, you’ll have complete control over the shifts that you work, allowing you to organise your week and plan according to your needs and preferences and can work full-time or part-time with us. The school year consists of 195 days in total and our average salaries range from anything upwards of £21,500 in the UK, dependant on location and experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Arrive promptly to lessons and settle a classroom quickly and calmly.
- Follow the lesson plan provided, ensuring set work is completed.
- Set out clear working expectations, permitting for quiet discussion.
- Manage the behaviour of pupils throughout the lesson.
- Note any issues that may arise and report to a senior teacher.
- Collect all completed work at the end of lessons.
The role is extremely rewarding and you’ll have a real impact upon the lives of future generations. Naturally, there are challenges of working with a large group, but our employees tend to form positive relationships with both their schools and its pupils, leading to further working opportunities and quite often longer-term placements.
Rate of pay:
You can choose to be paid via PAYE or umbrella! Rates of pay vary from £98 per day (plus 12.07% holiday pay which equates to £110) and £123 per day (plus 12.07% holiday pay which equates to £140) based on qualifications and experience. Umbrella payments range from £110 - £140 with holiday pay being optional.
