A profitable, lean fintech is hiring its first UK Support Engineer. The business is well established in Australia, has a loyal customer base, and is now building out its UK and EU operations. You'll be one of a small handful of UK team members, setting the tone for application support across the region.
You'll be the first line of defence when things wobble. Responsibilities include:
- AWS infrastructure
- Payments providers
- Open banking
- Debit card integrations
- Triage, debug, fix, document, and feed learnings back into observability
This is a solo seat during UK hours, so you'll need to make calls without a safety net. Required skills include:
- AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, API Gateway)
- TypeScript
- Python
- Bash
- Some patching, some scripting, the odd SRE task
- AWS CDK or CloudFormation a bonus
Ideally, you will have around 5 years in support engineering, technical operations, or infrastructure, preferably inside fintech, payments, or another high trust data environment.
