Salary: £25,000 per annum

We're looking for a talented and detail-driven Junior Graphic Designer / Artworker to join our in-house creative studio in Frome.

Cox & Cox is an award-winning British lifestyle brand specialising in home furnishings, lighting, and garden living. Our creative team is at the heart of everything we do - from print catalogue and campaign through to digital, social, and e-commerce.

This is a broad, hands‑on role spanning design production, image retouching, digital asset creation, and AI-assisted image generation. It's a brilliant opportunity for an emerging creative who wants to develop across multiple disciplines within a well-loved lifestyle brand.

The Role

You’ll support senior designers and the wider studio team, helping deliver consistently beautiful, on‑brand work across print, digital, and marketplace channels. Day to day, you can expect to be working across:

Design & Digital

  • Graphics for website banners, email campaigns, social media, and paid social
  • Animated digital assets for social, email, and marketing campaigns
  • Assets for online promotions, inserts, and flyers
  • Responding to design briefs for new products and contributing ideas to marketing campaigns

Print & Production

  • Assisting with catalogue and bounce-back edits
  • Preparing and proofreading artwork for print
  • Liaising with printers and external suppliers

Image Retouching & Processing

  • Retouching and colour‑matching images from photoshoots
  • Maintaining the image library – labelling, organising, and filing all photography assets
  • Batch processing and uploading product imagery to our website and press library
  • Editing cutouts, adjusting aspect ratios, and batching imagery for marketplace sites
  • Handling press image requests

AI Image Creation

AI‑generated imagery is an active and growing part of how we work. You’ll use AI tools to generate product visuals from supplier cutouts, create lifestyle backgrounds and composite scenes, and apply techniques such as inpainting, outpainting, and generative fill to work more efficiently – all while ensuring outputs meet our brand standards and usage guidelines.

About You

  • Degree and/or equivalent experience in a design or artworking role
  • Excellent Adobe Photoshop skills, including retouching and image manipulation
  • Proficient across Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • A strong portfolio showing print and digital work across multiple touchpoints
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work calmly under tight deadlines
  • Good time management and the ability to handle a varied workload
  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative – you enjoy being part of a team

Nice to have

  • Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, or other motion/video tools
  • Familiarity with AI image generation tools and workflows
  • Illustration skills – hand‑drawn or digital, for advertising or promotional use
  • Experience with web content management systems

What We Offer

  • Based in Frome, Somerset – a creative town with a great community
  • £25,000 per annum
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (28 days total), increasing by 1 day for every year of service up to a maximum of 30 days
  • Bonus birthday day off
  • 37.5‑hour week, Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
  • Hybrid working – minimum 4 days in the office during probation, moving to 3 days thereafter
