We are looking for Mortgage Brokers across the North East of England - from Thirsk to Newcastle. Cox & Co is a trusted expert in property investment, offering comprehensive services that include mortgage advice, property sourcing, sales, lettings, and property management. Known as 'Stockbrokers for bricks & mortar,' we provide a tailored, turn-key approach to supporting clients through all stages of property ownership and investment. With over 40 years of experience in the Scottish property market, our team excels in assisting with everything from first-time purchases to high-net-worth portfolio management. We pride ourselves on delivering personalised solutions that cater to the unique goals and needs of each client.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mortgage Broker based in the North East of England, with a combination of in-office and work-from-home responsibilities. The Mortgage Broker will provide expert advice to clients on mortgage options, financial planning, and debt consolidation. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Liaising with lenders
- Assisting clients in securing the best mortgage terms
- Preparing and managing documentation
- Delivering top-tier service to meet client goals
The role also involves conducting market research and staying updated on industry trends to ensure well-informed recommendations to clients. You will work across our Group’s many business branches, so there will be an element of travel. Good time-keeping and diary management will be essential!
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Mortgage Brokerage processes, including working with lenders and navigating financial loan options.
- Proficiency in areas such as Debt Consolidation and Mortgage Marketing to provide tailored solutions for client needs.
- Experience in Brokerage and Finance, with a focus on managing transactions and providing sound financial guidance.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a client-focused approach to service excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- A relevant qualification such as a CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in property investment or the mortgage industry is beneficial.
