About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced JLR Service Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys diagnostic problem-solving and wants to develop their skills alongside a leading automotive business.
You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and diagnostic work in line with Jaguar Land Rover manufacturer standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out JLR servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Performing advanced diagnostics using JLR diagnostic systems, including TOPIx and Pathfinder.
- Completing software updates, coding and vehicle programming where required.
- Following JLR technical bulletins, repair methods, service procedures and warranty requirements.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and identifying appropriate repair methods.
- Accurately recording diagnostic findings and completed work.
- Managing your workload effectively to meet quality, productivity and customer requirements.
- Working closely with colleagues and operational teams to deliver work on time and to a high standard.
- Supporting quality audits and compliance requirements.
- Keeping your technical knowledge up to date as vehicle technology continues to evolve.
What We're Looking For
- We're looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working on motor vehicles.
- JLR-recognised accreditations.
- Experience using TOPIx / Pathfinder and JLR diagnostic equipment.
- A basic understanding of EV technology and vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to read, understand and analyse technical information and data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to use your own initiative.
- A willingness to undertake manufacturer-supported training and continue developing your technical skills.
