About the Team
You’ll be joining the Integration & Automation Team within the Cox Automotive Product and Technology Group (CAPTG). We’re the people behind the integration platforms that keep Cox Automotive Europe connected, including MuleSoft and Bizagi.

To design, build, maintain and support integrations that serve colleagues, customers and partners across Europe.
Opportunity
As an Integration Developer (MuleSoft) you’ll focus on designing, developing and testing integration applications using the MuleSoft platform. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, Operations and a wider engineering community, ensuring the solutions you deliver are secure, scalable, high‑performing and aligned with real business needs. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both hands‑on engineering and contributing to best practice, mentoring and the development of future talent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, Develop & Deliver Integration Solutions
- Work with stakeholders to review requirements and prototype new integration ideas.
- Evaluate current integrations and suggest improvements where needed.
- Design, build, document, test and deploy high‑quality MuleSoft solutions.
- Estimate effort, plan deliveries and follow SDLC best practices.
- Support releases and change approvals through CAB processes.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot integrations from an operational perspective.
Own & Administer the MuleSoft Platform
- Support day‑to‑day management of the MuleSoft platform.
- Investigate incidents, ensure platform health and elevate issues when needed.
Lead Technical Delivery
- Take technical ownership of assigned integration projects.
- Act as the go‑to technical contact for your project teams.
- Work with internal technology teams to ensure all technical prerequisites are met.
Champion Best Practice
- Maintain clear documentation and development standards.
- Research emerging MuleSoft technologies and help guide the direction of the platform.
- Contribute to a culture of high‑quality engineering and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Technical Expertise- MuleSoft Certified Developer and/or Certified Integration Architect.
- Experience with hybrid runtimes and CloudHub 2.0.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across Mule applications and integrations.
- Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, JMS, MQs, event‑driven architecture and data formats (JSON/XML/CSV).
- Strong DataWeave transformation skills.
- Solid API design, API‑led connectivity and SOA knowledge.
- Experience with test tools (MUnit, Postman, JMeter) and load testing.
- Comfortable with cloud resources (Azure/AWS) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
- Strong grasp of SDLC, CI/CD and tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- 5 years of MuleSoft experience within enterprise‑scale environments.
- Splunk/New Relic experience is a plus.
- A problem‑solver who loves to dive into detail and deliver real value.
- Strong communicator able to work confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Able to balance multiple projects and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Experience mentoring junior developers.
- Comfortable working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
