About The Role

As an Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of a stockfunding portfolio within your territory. Your focus will be on:

  • New Business Development – generating and converting new dealer relationships
  • Account Management – growing utilisation and strengthening existing partnerships
  • Risk & Portfolio Control – helping with delinquency, exposure and write-offs
  • Vendor & Partner Relationships – maintaining strong connections across your market

*This is a field-based role involving extensive travel within your assigned territory which will be the East of England (from Colchester to Peterborough).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and execute an effective sales plan within your postcode territory
  • Generate new business through cold calling, referrals and lead follow-up
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities
  • Achieve monthly targets for applications and utilisation
  • Support new customers through contracting and onboarding
  • Work cross-functionally across the wider business
  • Hold regular meetings with key dealer partners
  • Develop structured market routing and territory planning
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and audit guidelines
  • Proactively manage and minimise delinquency
  • Monitor portfolio trends and high-value loan exposures
  • Support field collections and collateral repossessions where required
  • Work closely with Risk, Recovery and Remarketing teams
  • Use internal systems and Salesforce CRM effectively

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a strong balance of “Hunter” and “Farmer” skills:

  • Strong account management and relationship-building ability
  • Understanding of motor retail stock sources (Cars and LCV)
  • Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce desirable)

Experience & Background

  • Experience in Motor Retail – beneficial
  • Sales and portfolio management experience – beneficial
  • Finance industry experience – beneficial
