About The Role
Are you an experienced operations leader with a background in automotive or production environments? Manheim Vehicle Services is growing, and we’re looking for an Operations Manager to lead our vehicle processing operation at our Wyton site. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient flow of vehicles through our end-to-end process while delivering outstanding service to our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage the Vehicle Process team, ensuring daily targets, SLAs and KPIs are achieved.
- Oversee the full vehicle processing workflow, ensuring vehicles move through all stages safely, efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure high standards of customer service, resolving any queries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Continuously optimise processes to improve efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness.
- Workforce planning – organise work effectively and ensure resources match operational demand.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance, including coordination of site H&S requirements.
- Maintain effective communication across the team through structured briefings and updates.
- Resolve people issues promptly, working with HR for more complex matters.
- Promote team engagement, recognise achievements and support positive morale.
- Manage stock control and key security across the site.
- Collaborate with other team leads to understand daily volumes and operational impact.
- Champion Our Guiding Principles – do the right thing, lead by example, and bring out the best in others.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing teams in an operational, automotive or in a production environment
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving performance and meeting SLAs/KPIs
- Experience improving processes, efficiency and productivity
- Ability to manage resources, plan workflows and respond to operational change
- Background working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Knowledge of headcount management and budgeting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle employee relations issues appropriately
- Commitment to Health & Safety and operational excellence
