As a Driver / Site Assistant (internally referred to as an Operations Assistant), you will be responsible for the safe, timely and efficient movement of vehicles on-site in accordance with customer-specific processes and procedures.
- Drive vehicles in a safe, professional and respectful manner, in full compliance with site rules and HSE regulations.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required to support the smooth operation of administration and inventory processes.
- Assist in the movement and organisation of vehicles to maintain a tidy and orderly yard environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, taking reasonable care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
- Support and participate in the stock check and reconciliation processes.
- Maintain a full and compliant understanding of the "gating in" process.
- Ensure accurate and compliant execution of the "Pre-Inspection" procedure.
- Operate the "360 imagery booths" with full understanding of process requirements and compliance standards.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and courteous manner when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Drive any vehicle as directed by your line manager, within the scope of your licence entitlement.
- Conduct quality control checks within the allocated timeframes and to required standards.
- A confident driver, willing to learn to operate vehicles with different ignition systems and transmission types. A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Clear and effective communicator who can work well with others and provide direction when needed.
- Excellent at managing time and prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Calm under pressure, with a sharp eye for detail-even during the busiest moments.
- Comfortable using handheld devices and tablets as part of daily tasks.
- Confident with computer systems, knowledge of CAMS would be helpful, though training can be provided.
- Awareness of basic Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislation, with a commitment to safe working practices.
