The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
All drivers are entitled to a monthly bonus by ensuring that all vehicles are driven with care and respect. The Transporter Driver is responsible for the efficient and timely collection and delivery of vehicles to and from locations. Nights out may be required when requested.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure daily safety checks are completed and defects reported and rectified in line with expected procedures.
- Work within the WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.
- Communicate with branch, buyers, vendors, and the central logistics operations team.
- Awareness of the UK highway code.
- Work in line with SLA’s and expectations of the business.
- Be aware of any route diversions or updates to the delivery journey.
- Follow the accident reporting process.
- Keep all licence requirements up to date.
- Knowledge and safe use of multiple transporter configurations.
- Continuous training of the transport fleet.
Decision Making:
- Complete allocated work within SLA’s and expectations of the business.
- Follow safe working procedures in line with SSOW.
- Plan the route for best optimisation.
- Plan the loading of units for maximum efficiency.
- Adhere to WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.
Qualifications Required:
- HGV licence (relevant for the role).
- Drivers CPC.
- Experience within the Transport industry.
- Minimum 2 years driving experience.
