Are you excited by the idea of building products that power operational excellence, commercial performance, and next‑generation customer experiences? At CAPTG, we sit at the heart of major modernisation and growth initiatives—designing and delivering the platforms that keep our business moving forward.

We’re now looking for a proactive, strategic, and delivery‑focused Product Owner to help evolve a suite of products that play a critical role across our ecosystem. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, love solving real problems, and enjoy turning complex needs into clear, actionable delivery plans—this could be your next big move.

Why This Role Matters

CAPTG acts as a central hub within Cox Automotive, connecting engineering, data, commercial, and operational teams. We enable transformation by defining clear requirements, prioritising smartly, and delivering solutions that are reliable, scalable, and aligned with long‑term strategy.

As a Product Owner, you’ll shape the products that modernise key workflows, transform customer touchpoints, and unlock new value—including the development of our next‑generation Driver Sales platform. You’ll be trusted to take initiative, own outcomes, and be a true partner to the Product Manager guiding the portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Driving delivery of transformation initiatives that support strategic goals and real‑world operational needs.
  • Leading development for the next‑generation Driver Sales product—focused on unlocking new revenue streams.
  • Managing and prioritising product backlogs across multiple workstreams (Epics, Features, User Stories).
  • Working with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, commercial, and operations—to define requirements and build customer‑centric solutions.
  • Maintaining and communicating a clear product roadmap, ensuring visibility of priorities, risks, and dependencies.
  • Supporting discovery, user research, and data‑driven decision making to validate ideas and surface opportunities.
  • Coordinating delivery readiness with engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and adoption.
  • Contributing to quarterly planning, capacity discussions, and go‑to‑market activities for new features.
  • Championing continuous improvement and using feedback to enhance product performance and team ways of working.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience working in agile product development, including backlog management and user story creation.
  • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle and agile delivery methods (Agile, Design Thinking).
  • Excellent communication skills—you can translate technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset, grounded in data.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams and guiding development efforts.
  • Confidence managing dependencies across teams and programmes.
  • Background in business modernisation or digital transformation.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, system architecture, and data flows.
  • Experience using product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI).
  • Understanding of marketplace or auction environments, or the wider automotive sector.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, and presenting to senior leaders.
  • Familiarity with Rally or similar tooling.
Who Thrives Here

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, self‑starting mindset.
  • A problem solver who always seeks better, simpler, smarter ways to deliver value.
  • Transparent, logical, and data‑driven in how they make decisions.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of outcomes.
  • Passionate about using product thinking to solve real customer problems.
  • Able to balance short‑term delivery with long‑term strategy and vision.
Ready to Make an Impact?

If you’re passionate about product, excited by transformation, and want to help shape the future of our platforms, we’d love to hear from you.
