The Manheim Finance Team plays a pivotal role within the broader Cox Automotive UK finance function. As a trusted business partner, our purpose is to provide expert financial support and insight that empowers informed decision-making, drives business value, and effectively manages risk. Our team delivers a comprehensive suite of services, including:

  • Accounting – ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – offering insight and foresight through budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Business Partnering – working closely with operational teams to support strategic initiatives and drive financial performance

Centrally based at our Head Office in Leeds, we support all locations within the Manheim network, helping to ensure financial excellence and operational efficiency across the UK.

About The Role

Month-End Close (Centres of Excellence) Own end-to-end month-end close for assigned Centres of Excellence. Prepare journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Deliver accurate, timely, and well-controlled financial results. Produce monthly management accounts and performance reports. Deliver meaningful variance analysis and commentary. Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational teams to validate results.

Accounting & Audit Maintain accurate accounting records and strong internal controls. Prepare audit documentation and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organisational policies.

Forecasting & Planning Support forecasting and budgeting for assigned Centres of Excellence. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather inputs and challenge assumptions. Provide insight into financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

Process Improvement Contribute to the enhancement of finance processes, systems, and reporting. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen controls. Support the implementation of improvements across the finance function.

What You’ll Be Doing Ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting for Centres of Excellence. Deliver insightful analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making. Promote strong financial governance and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualification: Professionally part qualified / qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven experience in financial control and reporting roles, ideally within a technology or fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capability with experience in financial modelling, variance analysis, and interpretation of complex data.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
