We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in gas installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Gas Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all gas systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose faults in gas systems and implement effective solutions.
- Perform plumbing tasks as needed, including the installation of pipework for gas systems.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless job execution.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Qualified Boiler Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble and disassemble various components.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience with heavy lifting as required during installations.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
- Competence in using power tools and hand tools safely.
- A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
