At Cowiesburn, we’re more than a property management firm—we’re a close-knit team committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our clients and tenants. Our values of Respect, Integrity, Professionalism and Dependability are at the heart of our culture and guide everything we do.

The role can be based from either our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices and will involve regular travel to client sites within the portfolio. A driving licence and access to a car are therefore essential.

This varied, hands-on role offers the chance to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail properties and play an instrumental role in ensuring excellence for our clients, building strong local relationships, paving the way for future growth. Working closely with colleagues across Property Management and Facilities Management, you’ll gain broad experience and excellent opportunities to develop your career as the company grows.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients and tenants.
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial properties and resolve day-to-day issues proactively, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practice with colleagues.
  • Collaborate with our finance team to coordinate client billing, payment runs, invoicing and billed time.
  • Work closely with the finance team to monitor creditor and debtor arrears and ensure void-property payments remain up to date.
  • Manage annual service charges, utilities and other property-related costs.
  • Conduct regular site management and safety inspections, following up on identified issues to ensure resolution.
  • Oversee planned maintenance, safety and compliance requirements across client portfolios, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Coordinate third-party contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate tenant records, contact lists and property information.
  • Review client reports for accuracy and completeness before release.

What we’re looking for:

  • You’ll bring relevant commercial property experience, strong organisational skills and a genuine commitment to excellent client service.
  • You’ll be a clear communicator who is comfortable managing competing priorities, working remotely and taking ownership and responsibility for delivering results.
  • You’ll also have:
    • Demonstrable and meaningful industry experience
    • Strong commercial acumen and up to date industry knowledge of law relating to property management to be able to give credible advice, recommendations and influence strategic decisions
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
    • Proactive, solutions focused in approach and able to work collaboratively with others.
    • The ability to work independently and perform well under pressure
    • Strong attention to detail
    • A full driving licence and access to a car
    • MRICS status and a relevant degree or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

Why join us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company where your ideas, expertise and contribution will be valued. You will become part of a supportive, collaborative team while working with a diverse and interesting property portfolio.

You’ll also enjoy:

  • A competitive salary
  • Pension Scheme
  • 33 days annual leave per year
  • Your birthday off
  • Income protection
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Workplace Wellness Support Services
