Do you want to join a growing Digital Delivery team? Can you coordinate multiple disciplines to deliver fully integrated models? Are you an experienced BIM Manager experienced with large-scale UK infrastructure projects? Then this could be the next step in your career.

Create Solutions that Will Enable a Better Tomorrow

To strengthen our Digital Delivery team, we are seeking an experienced Senior BIM Manager with a solid background in overseeing complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. This is a key role for a candidate who brings deep, practical knowledge and understanding of the ISO 19650 framework, including its application throughout the procurement and delivery phases of major infrastructure programmes, as well as the ability to scale practically based on client requirements.

You will be expected to:

  • Support the application of ISO 19650 principles across infrastructure projects, ensuring information management is embedded from the earliest stages of procurement through delivery.
  • Support the Discipline Management Team to evolve our Information Management (IM) function, contributing to the internal development of governance processes, compliance frameworks, exemplar documents and templates, and best-practice guidance.
  • Draw on your skills in IMI (Information Management according to ISO 19650, formerly the UK BIM Framework) to shape practical implementation strategies that enhance project delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Provide subject matter leadership across our UK project portfolio, supporting Heads of Sector and Discipline, while also connecting with our global network of digital and information management professionals and professional communities.
  • Help define, implement, maintain, and improve our digital delivery processes, ensuring they are consistently applied and effectively governed across projects.
  • Support the internal audit of ISO 19650 projects on a quarterly basis ahead of Accreditation (in the 1st quarter of each year).

This role offers the opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure schemes while playing a central part in advancing digital delivery and information management practice within our business.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participate in the development of project bids and support the capture team during tender responses, providing input on pre-appointment IM and BIM-related aspects (specifically risks, capability and capacity, and mobilisation).
  • Assist the Bid and/or Project Manager with BIM requirements during contract negotiations (e.g., forecasts, costs, team structures to manage the IM/BIM scope).
  • Support the development and implementation of BIM information and data management standards and processes for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards (specifically the ISO 19650 Framework).
  • Manage BIM data, including models, drawings, and other project deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance of the digital product.
  • Provide input in selecting an appropriate CDE for projects and setting it up in collaboration with Project Management and Document Controllers.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans according to client EIRs and the ISO 19650 Framework, creating necessary coordination workflows and process maps.
  • Create Quality Assurance procedures for BIM deliverables and ensure their implementation.
  • Support the setup of appropriate issue management platforms for projects and ensure that all necessary templates to begin project delivery are in place.
  • Create and maintain the federated project information model (PIM).
  • Conduct coordination meetings with stakeholders and project teams to ensure project objectives and client requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules and deadlines and monitor project progress using BIM tools and metrics (managing the MIDP).
  • Take an engaged approach to training the Digital Delivery Discipline Team and developing colleagues across the business, ensuring the application of BIM information and data management best practices and technologies are understood.
  • Evaluate and recommend BIM technologies and software tools to improve project efficiency and quality.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and technology trends related to BIM, identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and tools.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.

The first step to success in this role is being eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether colleagues, partners, or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. You never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you\’ll have:

  • A bachelor\’s or master\’s degree in BIM Management, civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Over 10 years of extensive experience leading large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects as a BIM Manager and/or BIM Lead.
  • Proficiency in BIM Coordination tools such as Navisworks, Solibri, or Bentley iTwin.
  • Robust project management skills and proficient organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with modelling processes in different software applications (e.g., Revit, Tekla, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenBuildings Designer) and interoperability between different tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality and document management processes.
  • Holding a certification in ISO 19650 is an advantage.
  • Extensive experience working with CDEs, specifically ProjectWise and ACC.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and integrating supply chain, design, and interface requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with individuals and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience working with IMI (Information Management according to ISO 19650, formerly the UK BIM Framework) and in UK BIM project delivery roles.
