Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow. We are looking for an accomplished MEP Director to join us. You will be working in a broad remit across operational & strategic leadership, business development, line management and project delivery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our MEP technical offering, driving growth and delivering high quality performance on many of the UKβs key infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Define and implement strategies for the growth of the Infrastructure MEP discipline, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with global hubs and multidisciplinary teams to enhance technical capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.
- Support the Head of Discipline in setting goals and facilitating the rapid expansion across transportation, energy, water, and renewables sectors.
- Business Development
- Forge and maintain constructive client relationships, acting as a trusted consultant and primary representative.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to bids, tenders, and work-winning strategies.
- Promote our expertise in MEP design and delivery to enhance market presence and secure major infrastructure projects.
- Oversee the delivery of complex MEP design projects from feasibility through detailed design and site supervision, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
- Guide technical approaches to solve challenging engineering problems, introducing innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, promoting continuous improvement and digital ways of working.
- People & Team Development
- Line manage and mentor a growing team of engineers, supporting professional development and chartership.
- Encourage a culture of collaboration and productivity, inspiring teams to perform at their best.
- Identify skills gaps and implement development plans to enhance capability across the discipline.
Qualifications
- Be a Chartered Engineer or have an equivalent professional qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Project Management.
- Have extensive experience in major infrastructure projects with significant MEP components, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Demonstrate significant ability in:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex design projects.
- Strategic business growth and operational leadership.
- Being experienced in Work-winning and client relationship management.
- Possessing effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire teams.
- Having familiarity with BIM implementation and digital engineering practices.
- Showing willingness to travel as required for project needs.
