We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join us in our London, Glasgow or Bristol offices. Key Responsibilities
- Designing, checking or assessment tasks across a wide range of new and existing bridges or other complex structures.
- Supporting projects with a focus on the inspection, assessment, and lifecycle management of existing bridge assets.
- Liaising with clients and mentoring junior staff to ensure your projects are delivered on time and to budget with a high standard of technical quality.
- Production of engineering design and details, or for undertaking checking or assessment work in accordance with project requirements.
- Preparation of analysis models, calculations, written reports, and other contract deliverables, and for checking similar work by other engineers.
- Working closely with our CAD/BIM technicians to prepare 2D and 3D design drawings and models.
- Delivering your work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through a conscientious approach to self‑checking.
- Visits to sites as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- A master's degree in either civil or structural engineering and be chartered with either the ICE or IStructE or an equivalent institution.
- Proven post‑graduate experience in a design environment working on bridges, heavy civil, or other complex structures.
- Some experience of motivating, supervising, and coordinating project teams.
- Familiarity with UK design standards, Eurocodes and CDM regulations.
- The inter‑personal skills and aptitude to work collaboratively in a diverse multi‑disciplinary team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding and enthusiasm for structural engineering and a personal commitment to technical excellence.
