COWI is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to expand its team of External and Communications professionals. As Communities Coordinator, you will work as part of a team to deliver compelling community engagement campaigns for the company's infrastructure clients – including the Lower Thames Crossing, one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. COWI and the Lower Thames Crossing team put the communities they affect at the heart of what they do.

Further you will:

  • Work with the Communities Lead to integrate community priorities into the design, construction, and communications of projects, working closely with project neighbours and local organisations such as Parish Councils, educational institutions, forums, and advocacy groups.
  • Monitor community sentiment and provide intelligence and briefings to the Communities Lead and External Affairs team ahead of key engagements.
  • Support direct engagement with challenging stakeholders by accompanying the External Affairs team, clients, and contractors, arranging pre-briefings, ensuring teams are fully informed to respond to queries, recording actions in the CRM, and following up to ensure commitments are delivered.
