Do you want to work on one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK? Can you build relations with many and various stakeholders? Are you experienced in Health & Safety for major road projects? Then this is the place to apply your knowledge and curiosity to enable a better tomorrow. We are looking to appoint a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to oversee HSW performance on a major roads JV infrastructure project.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring programme-wide HSW performance, risk controls and compliance with CDM/BR and industry standards
- Conducting assurance activities, inspections and reviews based on risk and contractor performance
- Attending pre-start and readiness reviews to confirm works are planned and resourced safely
- Building effective working relationships with Project Directors, Delivery partner HSW teams and supply chain representatives
- Championing innovation to safely reduce cost, risk and delivery times
- Preparing accurate weekly and monthly HSW reports using data from multiple sources
- Promoting an inclusive, respectful working environment, supporting diversity and psychological safety
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in HSW management on large, complex or high-risk infrastructure programmes
- Solid knowledge of HSW legislation, CDM 2015, Building regulations and ISO 45001
- Experience of delivering HSW training
- Demonstrable experience of audits, inspections, management systems and behavioural/cultural programmes
- Achieved Chartered status or working towards it
- Good analytical skills with the confidence to challenge and advise
- Competence in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
- A collaborative and adaptable customer-focused approach
