Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow
To deliver major infrastructure projects, we are looking for a Project Director to join us. Working on a variety of different projects, you’ll contribute to planning, bidding, overseeing and completing the projects that are part of COWI’s portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Planning and operating assigned projects within your portfolio, including risk management, interface management, resource management
- Key account and project client management
- Contract review and negotiation
- Preparing bids, including fee proposals, technical responses, programmes, tender designs, risk screenings and bid submission notes
- Completing projects in compliance with the COWI Quality Management System and utilising the Operational Excellence Project Management tools
- Achieving project financial, schedule, quality and client satisfaction goals
- Ensuring appropriate technical oversight/review is provided to the project team
- Project closure activities, including preparation of design cost statistics, updating of team member resumes and preparation of content for project reference sheets
- Contributing to regular month-end closure activities including project estimates, resolving project overruns
- Long-term planning sheets and resource planning
- Growing the business with clients, including taking advantage of cross-selling opportunities
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with post-graduate degrees preferred in engineering or professional disciplines
- Project management experience for large, complex projects and line management or project portfolio management experience
- Experience working with major infrastructure projects
- Experience and ability to see projects through from concept to completion within a professional service environment
- Efficient leadership skills and proven ability to supervise and motivate teams
- Well-developed understanding of business operations combined with practical technical knowledge
- Creative written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated capacity to manage and support others during complex, uncertain, and changing situations
- Self-motivated, organised and able to handle multiple tasks in a growing environment
- Professional organisational and time management skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to suit project needs
- Innovative and creative mind-set
