Responsibilities
- Support COWI UK’s External Affairs and Consents practice to secure work with existing and new projects and clients.
- Work closely with clients to develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Lead engagement with local, regional and national stakeholders, local authorities, businesses and communities.
- Prepare bid and fee proposals to win new work and support capture and bid processes for major and regional opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sector Leads, Heads of Discipline and the broader Business Development team to integrate capabilities into bid proposals.
- Contribute to strategy and actions to drive business growth in specified focus areas.
- Identify technical development areas to maximise growth opportunities.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) programme values and support HSW strategy development.
Qualifications
- Experience developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Proven track record of business development and winning work in the stakeholder and communications sector within the built‑environment industry.
- Strong relationships with key political, business, local authority and community stakeholders.
- Excellent client and partner trust‑based relationship building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, manage deadlines and respond to changing situations.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
