We are seeking a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to manage and support a multi-site IT environment of approximately 270 users. This role combines infrastructure management, end-user support, and supervision of a team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune
- Manage on-premise Dell servers, storage, and backups
- Maintain and support Hyper-V environment, including RDS infrastructure
- Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line technical support
- Support core business applications, including accounting software (experience desirable)
- Manage and support 3CX phone system
- Administer Meraki firewalls, networking, and site connectivity
- Monitor and maintain systems using RMM tools (e.g. Ninja)
- Support and maintain Microsoft Teams meeting room and video conferencing equipment
- Ensure security, patching, and system compliance across all environments
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and system improvements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven experience in a similar IT support / infrastructure role
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Intune administration skills
- Experience with virtualisation (Hyper-V) and RDS environments
- Networking knowledge, including firewalls and VLANs (Meraki preferred)
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Willingness to travel between North West sites
