We have an exciting opening for a Cover Supervisor to join our first‑class team to play a vital role in ensuring students continue to learn in a structured and engaging environment. As our Cover Supervisor you will maximise the learning experiences and achievement of students in assigned classes in the absence of a teaching colleague. You will contribute to the activities of designated curriculum areas and undertake the role of form tutor where needed. The role is based on working 29 hours per week over 4 days, term time plus 1 week (39 working weeks per year). We are happy to discuss the 4 working days at interview however there is an expectation that one of the days must be a Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Provide coverage for one or more classes in the absence of a teaching colleague, ensuring continuity of learning and engaging activities.
  • Participate in curriculum area activities and support the development of students’ skills and knowledge.
  • Undertake form tutor duties where required, supporting student wellbeing and progress.

Employment Conditions

Cover Supervisor is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975. All successful appointments will be subject to suitability checks in accordance with KCSIE, including identity, Right to Work, qualifications, prohibition check, two references and enhanced DBS check including Children’s Barred List.
