Cowdray Estate is a historic 16,000-acre private Estate operating a professional in‑house security function.
We are looking for a Security Operative to join the team. The Security Team are responsible for safeguarding:
- The Principal and family
- Residential properties
- Estate buildings, land and assets
- Staff, tenants, visitors and guests
- Corporate, hospitality and leisure events held across the Estate
This role combines day shift security duties and nightwatchman responsibilities, allocated through a monthly duty rota. It is a trusted, high‑profile position requiring discretion, professionalism and strong situational awareness. The role is well suited to licensed SIA operatives seeking a stable, varied, in‑house security position.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Valid SIA Licence (Manned Guarding or Door Supervisor)
- Full UK driving licence (vehicle patrols form part of the role)
- Good written and spoken English
- Basic IT skills for reporting and communication
- Verifiable employment history
- Legal right to work in the UK
Desirable
- First Aid qualification
- Previous experience in estate, residential, corporate or rural security
- Experience working both day and night shifts
- Experience liaising with emergency services
