Covoxa provides client-side assistance with Cloud based ERP Workday and Oracle implementations plus on-going technical support and service management. We offer assistance through our collaborative approach at all stages of any implementation project as well as upgrade advice and ongoing support.

The Client & Programme

Our client is a prestigious central government organisation with co-located programme offices in Westminster and Canary Wharf. The Programme offers a once in a generation business systems and shared services transformation delivery able to challenge the most experienced of consultant.

Role Description

This is a contractor, full-time hybrid role, outside IR35 for an experiencedWorkdayFinance Functional Consultant working client-side to represent a high profile Arms Length Body. You’ll act as the SME for all core Finance processes, ensuring requirements are met and the solution is fit for purpose across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and P2P Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent customer in Workday Finance design workshops, validating functional requirements and ensuring specific needs are included in the solution.
  • Support and guide customer SMEs through testing phases (unit, SIT, UAT, reconciliations, parallel runs) to ensure data accuracy and process readiness.
  • Support customer Finance data migration activities – reviewing templates, validating data, reconciling migration results.
  • Contribute to cutover planning and execution, ensuring a smooth transition to Workday.
  • Support business change activities – stakeholder engagement, communications, training readiness.
  • Provide pre- and post–go-live functional support, working closely with service providers and programme teams.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Finance Functional Consultant onWorkday Financials implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of: Record to Report / General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Procurement (P2P).
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, and statutory/management reporting requirements.
  • Workday reporting expertise including creation of Reports, Dashboards and data extraction
  • Hands-on experience in ERP testing, data migration, cutover planning, and service transition.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in public sector or shared services environments.
  • Familiarity with shared services and/or cluster-based Workday programmes.
