Join our Operations Team based in Dumfries as Inbound Operations Assistant.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- As an Inbound Operations Assistant at Covetrus you have the opportunity to become multiskilled in a variety of different operational departments within the Inbound team. You will develop your skills by working in any of our future driven departments; duties may include the following:
Pick and Pack
- Loading of orders onto our advance conveyor system and/or vehicle supported order picking
- The advance pick and pack of our technology driven pick process throughout the facility
- The logistical completion of customer orders based on geographical location
- Auditing and verification of product quality
Dispatch
- Efficient loading of customer orders onto our logistic network
- Orchestrate priority customer movements with the supply chain, including paperwork
- Ensure continuous stock movement
- Opportunity to gain MHE qualifications
Relevant to all departments
- Manual handling β work within warehouse environment lifting, moving, carrying and transporting pallets/boxes of goods using pallet trucks. Work at height on internal equipment (e.g., high order pickers, wave machines).
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping by adhering to cleaning plans.
- Fully comply with all health and safety requirements and instructions given.
- Select goods for customer sales orders from designated fixed stock locations. Securely pack sales orders in appropriate transit packaging and attach the customerβs address label.
- Quality assurance checks on picked orders
