We have an open position available on our Operations Ecommerce Team. This is a full-time opportunity.
The Operations Assistant role involves handling warehouse tasks such as receipt, locating, replenishing, counting, picking, checking, packing, and dispatching goods, as well as setting up new products. The role includes processing customer sales orders and returns accurately and promptly, and investigating variances when necessary.
About the role:
As an Operations Assistant at Covetrus, you will have the opportunity to develop skills across various departments. You may be asked to work in different areas, with duties including:
Replenishment
- Unpack, check, and store received goods in the correct warehouse locations
- Perform stock replenishment, ensuring accurate and timely stock movement reporting to maintain high location accuracy
- Undertake stock counts
- Potentially operate forklift and Bendi machinery (training provided)
Relevant to all departments:
- Manual handling: lifting, moving, carrying, and transporting pallets/boxes using pallet trucks, and working at height on equipment like high order pickers and wave machines
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by following cleaning plans
- Comply with all health and safety requirements and instructions
- Select goods for customer orders from designated stock locations, securely pack orders, and attach customer address labels
- Perform quality checks on picked orders
About You:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Warehouse experience and knowledge of standard processes is desirable
- Good attention to detail
Education: Basic literacy and numeracy are essential to perform core duties.
Skills: Basic computer literacy.
