We have an open position available on our Ecommerce Team; this is a full-time opportunity.

The position of Operations Assistant involves tasks related to receipt, locating, replenishing, counting, picking, checking, packing, and dispatching goods, as well as setting up new products. The role includes the accurate and timely processing of customer sales orders and returns, and investigating any variances where necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Operations Assistant at Covetrus, you have the opportunity to become multiskilled across various departments. You might be asked to work in any part of our operations, with duties including:

Replenishment

  • Unpack, check, and store received goods in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Complete stock replenishment and ensure accurate, timely stock movement reporting to maintain high location accuracy.
  • Undertake stock counts.
  • Potentially operate forklift and Bendi machinery (training provided).

Relevant to all departments

  • Manual handling: lifting, moving, carrying, and transporting pallets/boxes using pallet trucks; working at height with internal equipment (e.g., high order pickers, wave machines).
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping by adhering to cleaning plans.
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements and instructions.
  • Select goods for customer orders from designated stock locations, securely pack orders, and attach customer address labels.
  • Perform quality checks on picked orders.

About You

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is desirable.
  • Good attention to detail.

Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential for core duties. Basic computer literacy is also required.
