Join Veterinary Instrumentation as an Operations Assistant. This role covers a wide variety of warehouse jobs and work including picking, checking, packing and dispatch of goods.
Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8:45am – 4:45pm).
About the role- Select goods for customer sales orders from their designated 'fixed' stock locations.
- Undertake the full range of tasks such as picking, packing, ownership of distributor orders on a rota basis to ensure variety and shared workload.
- Ensure stock rotation by selecting oldest stock either through date or batch identification.
- Securely pack sales orders in appropriate transit packaging & attach the customer's address label.
- Carry out stock replenishment where a bin is empty and overflow stock exists.
- Process customer returned goods that simply need restocking, as per written process.
- Assume responsibilities for additional tasks required for ensuring smooth running of warehouse.
- To ensure the highest standard of housekeeping within the warehouse.
- To fully comply with all Health and Safety requirements and instruction given.
- Cover other duties as may be requested from time to time by any member of the Warehouse Department or Management Team.
- We are searching for someone who enjoys working as part of a small team and co-operate with other departments, this is a necessary requirement for this position.
- Flexibility of working hours and the ability to work overtime when required are essential.
- Basic literacy and numeracy are essential for covering the core duties of the role.
