We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to come and join our team, reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for the ongoing development of the Marketing function and Covetrus UK brand.

You will be involved in the creation and communication of marketing content, tools and resources across a variety of products, technologies and platforms, guiding the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Leadership team to deliver the most effective means of communicating the value of Covetrus UK’s products, services and proposition to our valued partners.

Digital marketing is a crucial aspect of this role, with you owning Covetrus UK’s digital presence and identity, regularly identifying opportunities for audience growth and business performance in this area. You will also contribute to the development of Covetrus UK’s core strategy along with the Senior Marketing Manager. You will ensure the successful execution of key marketing campaigns to enhance Covetrus UK’s standing within the industry we operate.

The role:
  • Development of a wide range of marketing collateral
  • Management of Covetrus UK’s existing website and e-commerce platform, taking the lead on developing Covetrus UK’s digital presence in these crucial areas
  • Ensure modern SEO focused content is updated to the website on a routine basis, analysing website traffic and performance, producing data driven insights which help steer conversion to sales
  • Regular review of online consumer behaviour, mapping Covetrus UK’s customer journey, ensuring the inbound marketing strategy is appropriately aligned to trends witnessed
  • Preparation, scheduling and ongoing development of Covetrus UK’s Social Media strategy and subsequent content, ensuring the organisations LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram pages are consistent with brand and audience messaging
  • Deliver organic growth of Covetrus UK’s brand on these key Social Media platforms
  • Sole responsibility for Covetrus UK’s email marketing campaign, delivering successful campaigns which increase engagement levels and actions taken by our audience
  • Monitor and regularly report on the performance of all key digital platforms
  • Development of photography and videography content, ensuring relevant product, clinical, and lifestyle shoots are scheduled and take place
  • Joint responsibility with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop, edit and manage a library of brand assets, ensuring they are within corporate branding guidelines
  • Deliver copywrite and engaging content for key adverts, journals, publications, webinars etc
  • Work with Covetrus UK’s proprietary brands to leverage partnership opportunities across campaigns
  • Work with Covetrus UK’s KOL network and influencers within the animal health industry creating case studies, testimonials and business cases which build brand awareness and subsequent loyalty
  • Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Product Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns for existing and new product developments
  • Management of and delivering integrated marketing campaigns, utilising a full range of marketing tools and channels relevant to the industry we serve
  • Working with the Senior Marketing Manager, review general market trends and act upon them, ensuring Covetrus UK remain at the forefront of the market we operate within
  • Designing, editing and publishing of content on all key platforms where required and not specified above
  • Develop, own and report on Covetrus UK’s online customer review process and complementary systems and platforms
  • Providing general support to the wider business in relation to typical marketing activities on and offline
  • Any adhoc requirements with the commercial team during periods of holidays and sickness
  • Ability to self educate, identify and evaluate trends in digital marketing, presenting opportunities for Covetrus UK to evolve in this area, ensuring Covetrus UK are at the forefront of any industry developments
You:
  • At least 2 years previous experience within a commercially orientated marketing environment and organisation.
  • Marketing degree (or relevant qualifications to demonstrate marketing knowledge).
  • High standard of organisational and project management skills
  • Copywriting ability
  • Creative flair and confidence
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work in a demanding environment and to budget
  • Strong analytical, insight development and reporting skills
  • Web management experience is essential
  • Significant experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud system
  • Experience and competent with E-CRM applications
  • Experience with 3rd party platforms such as Hootsuite, Canva, monday.com, feedly

This position can be either remote or on-site, based from our headquarters in Dumfries. Willing to travel within the UK and Internationally where required. A full, clean driving license is required.
