We’re looking for a Senior Ink Technician to join our Ink Team at Coveris Burnley. The successful candidate will support the timely and accurate supply of inks to the Print department and provide hands-on technical expertise across the shift. Reporting to the Ink Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining colour quality, supporting production, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ink blending to meet job specifications and keep production running efficiently.
- Colour matching and supporting print trials.
- Daily stock management to maintain workflow and material availability.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting during shifts.
- Covering Shift Technician and Ink Manager absences when required.
- Managing ink returns, machinery and equipment within the department.
- Supporting and developing Shift Technicians.
- Working closely with Printers and Print Assistants to maintain quality and consistency.
- Ensuring all processes, standards and H&S requirements are followed.
- Offering support to other operational areas when needed.

This role suits someone proactive, technically confident, and experienced in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Hours:
Week 1: 6am to 2pm Monday-Friday
Week 2: 2pm to 10pm Monday-Thursday & 10am-6pm Friday
Hours alternate with the other Senior Ink Technician who works the opposite shift. This role will be required to cover periods of absence for all Ink Technicians. You will be provided with as much notice as possible when required to cover. This means when covering absences, on occasions you will be required to work a 12-hour shift (6am-6pm/6pm-6am). The number of hours worked per week may change when covering periods of absence, but your average working hours will remain as 40 hours per week.
