We’re looking for a proactive and organised Production Planner to join our team on a temporary basis until the end of 2026. This role plays a key part in scheduling Print, Lamination and Conversion production orders to ensure operational efficiency and strong OTIF performance. You’ll initially focus on one planning area, with the opportunity to support all planning functions over time.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
What You’ll Do:
- Schedule production orders in the most efficient sequence to achieve OTIF targets.
- Work closely with Production, Planning and the Demand, Planning & Customer Service Manager to balance capacity, manning levels and planned downtime.
- Maintain daily and weekly production plans, ensuring smooth workflow and WIP coverage.
- Co‑ordinate daily loadings and review call‑off lists to identify risks early.
- Communicate job stock dates and any delays to internal sales teams.
- Manage WIP, ensuring all available material is allocated and jobs are closed correctly.
Reporting responsibilities:
- You’ll produce and share daily reports covering:
- Plan adherence
- Lost production time
- Order escalations
- 24‑hour fixed plan OTIF performance (requested vs promised)
Relationship building:
- Develop strong working relationships with Sales, Operations and wider colleagues.
- Work collaboratively across departments to support smooth production flow.

Qualifications & Experience:
- GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Previous planning or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential.
