We are looking for a reliable and practical
Maintenance Operative to join our care home team.
Reporting to the Home Manager or Deputy Manager, you will help ensure our home remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs throughout the home.
Conduct routine building inspections and audits, ensuring any required actions are completed.
Undertake Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on admission and annually.
Maintain the gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard, encouraging resident involvement where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and safeguarding requirements.
Safely store and use equipment, tools, and chemicals.
About You
Previous building, property maintenance, or general maintenance experience.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
Understanding of facilities management and building maintenance.
Experience within a social care setting is desirable.
PAT Testing qualification, First Aid, and Property Maintenance qualifications are desirable.
A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
