Are you skilled in painting and decorating, with an eye for detail and a commitment to high‑quality work? We’re looking for a dedicated Painter and Decorator to join our Property Maintenance Team and help keep our homes looking their best.

About the Role

As part of our wider maintenance team, you’ll ensure that both the interior and exterior areas of our homes are maintained to a high standard. You’ll carry out a mixture of planned and reactive projects—ranging from surface preparation and painting to wallpapering and decorative finishing.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out high‑quality interior and exterior decoration tasks
  • Measure work areas and calculate the time and materials needed
  • Prepare and protect work areas, always being mindful of our residents
  • Prepare surfaces, colour match, paint, varnish, hang wallpaper, and finish to a professional standard
  • Maintain clean and tidy workspaces, including full clean‑up after each job
  • Use and store equipment and chemicals safely in line with COSHH
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and use PPE as required
  • Report any tasks you are unable to complete to the Property Maintenance Manager

General Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with your team and share best practice
  • Maintain accurate records and follow company policies and procedures
  • Promote safeguarding and awareness of risks
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards
  • Champion anti-discriminatory behaviour and cultural sensitivity

Requirements

  • Level 2 painting City & Guilds in Painting and Decorating or similar
  • Driving licence & own transport
