This role is part of our Travel Guard team. Travel Guard is a leading travel insurance brand, serving millions of leisure and business travellers worldwide. Established in 1982 we offer a comprehensive portfolio of travel insurance solutions and global assistance services. Travel Guard operates service centres across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring 24/7 support to help travellers navigate unexpected circumstances that may disrupt their plans. Travel Guard became part of Zurich Cover-More in December 2024.

What you’ll be doing:

• End-To-End design of requirements requested by the business.
• Code Reviews
• Architecture and Application Documentation, including those used for Security Assessments.
• Research & Development for the “core” libraries used throughout the Travel platforms such as Logging, Authentication, SQL Abstraction, etc.
• Mentor, coach, and support Product Development teams.
• Use of customer insights to provide direction for business initiatives.
• Ensure best practice customer initiatives are adopted and applied.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers within company guidelines, regulatory obligations and SLA’s.
• Collaborate and provide regular reporting and updates with key stakeholders across the Cover-More Group.
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of, or passion to learn, current and emerging trends within the .NET, Angular and AWS spaces.
• Take ownership and drive the team forward by suggesting solutions without being prompted.
• Confidently read, debug and completely refactor even un-familiar codebases.
• Stay up to date with the latest technological improvements and be unafraid to try them out.

What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:

• Minimum of five years’ experience working as a full stack Software Engineer and/or Platform Developer, including at least two years working at a Senior level.
• Experience designing AWS Cloud Native applications.
• Minimum of a 2-year degree.
• Strong .Net, Javascript or Typescript coding experience.
